The canon that wolfs us

Lets go for ‘Bhag Milkhaa Bhag’’

Should we?

At least will be different from other formula flicks. A biopic on a living legend.

Ok. Let’s check out. Running there in Fun cinemas.

Don’t you think it is much costlier to watch a film now a days at all these multiplexes?

Ya it is, but it has advantages also. You get the ambiance that creates the mood, effect?

Really? How?

The sound effects, (5.1, 7.1 n what not), the air-conditioning and pushback chairs the free trailers…n…

N what about the overpriced popcorns, snacks( 700% costlier) …

You are always complaining. It comes with tax. Service tax, entertainment tax…. refurbish your economics.

How many times do you install push back chairs in Cinema Halls? Anuradha Cinema charges you Rs. 8 t against every entry for pushback chairs.

Must be film policy. The state govt is talking about it.

No it is the exhibitor policy. Of the owners, for the owners.

Have you seen films in Talkies? A huge dark void, moments of silence interspersed by whirling sound of fan with the mechanical movement of film reel, the visible spectrum of projection flicker and such a multitude of receptive audience. Blended feeling of myth and commonplace.

We are in 21 century bro. The technology has overtaken our lives. Now the films are screened through satellite UFO. The projectionist and gatekeeper are memories of the past. And you have not mentioned the cacophony of the generator in olden halls.
You can enjoy films at home theatre at the comfort of your home. The future is private.

Stop it. Now we have reached.

(The beggar at the complex entrance asks for money)

Should we give him?

You can resurrect poverty not the poor with coin charity” –one famous economist said. Moreover how long can he survive on a one rupee coin?

Give him ten instead. He can have enough with that money.

Are you serious?

Hmm. Some of the ministers can live on it. Why can’t he?
Ok let’s buy the tickets. Then will give him the change.
……………………………………..
Two tickets for Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Sir the schedule is at 8.45PM
What’s in store for now?
Wolverine …starts 15 minutes later.
………………………………………………………..
So what to do?
Let’s go for it anyway. We can’t wait for 8.45. Will be too late.
…………………………..

The End

So how do you like the film?

Yaa…the nuke bombing scene at Japan is thrilling. The bullet train scene and the fight sequence at the end are impressive.

So these are the things that strike you? You go to film for scenes. Verrry naaice. What about the story?

You are an old chap bro. Who looks for stories these days? You have to glue them to the seats.

The ferocity of Wolverine-II has left me nowhere in the hall. Perhaps its agility is wolfing our conscious.

The formula takes over. The telling takes back. The story of futuristic slick cinema.
